In order to assure that all future issues arrive in your inbox and aren’t deleted by mail filters you will need to add us to your list of trusted senders, contacts or address book – also known as whitelisting.
White-listing our address and URL is a necessity – not an option – because the financial terminology used in our communications virtually assures they will be blocked or filtered as spam keeping you from getting what you requested.
Three Generalized Principles of White-Listing:
- Add the domain “FinancialMentor.com” and the email address of this email to your address book, contact list, friend list, and/or white-list.
- If any message we send gets filtered simply move it to your inbox and click the button designating it as legitimate email where applicable.
- Alternatively, you can forward to yourself any messages that get filtered.
With that said, below are specific white-listing instructions for some of the more popular email programs. Please understand that the version of the program you are using is likely a more recent release than shown below. For that reason, these suggestions are designed to be helpful guidelines that may need to be adapted based on your individual situation.

Add the email address and domain Financialmentor.com to your address book or Custom Sender list.
- Click the “Spam Controls” link on the lower right side of your inbox screen.
- When the “Mail & Spam Controls” box appears, click the “Custom Sender List” link
- Add the domain or email address you would like to receive mail from, then click “add” and “save.”
For AOL 9.0 you can add our sending address to the “People I Know” list by:
- Opening the latest issue of the newsletter.
- Click the “Add Address” button on the right side of the screen to add us to your “People I Know” list.
- Or, you can just send an email – any email – to the address this email came from and your software will automatically add this address to your “People I Know” list.

ALL OTHER EMAIL PROGRAM USERS
While these directions will cover the majority of email users, there are many other ISP’s and mail filtering software not specifically included in this list. It would be a full time job to offer exact directions and stay current on every new release of software available. For that reason, if you are using software not discussed above please refer to the generalized white-listing principles above or contact your customer service people or the postmaster at the company that provides your email or Internet Service.
